Certified Fitness Trainer & Author, Specializing in Strength & Conditioning Training · Group Exercise Boot Camps
As an author and Certified Personal Trainer (ACE, HTCA, IPFA) Guy has 25 years of experience and research in the areas of exercise physiology, nutrition, and motivation. His expertise also encompasses advances in the field of human potential, helping to effectively maximize individual performance. Guy’s skills and abilities have enabled him to work with a wide variety of clientele. Whether optimizing the performance of a professional athlete, working with athletic teams, developing company wellness programs, or helping individuals with personal fitness programs, his goal is to provide the most current and scientifically researched information to educate and motivate people to achieve healthier lifestyles.
After serving in the U.S. Army. Guy brought his devotion to physical fitness and personal achievement to Health & Tennis Clubs of America and Bally’s Health Clubs, managing fitness centers in the St. Louis area, where he consistently ranked as one of the company’s top three managers nationwide. During this time he became increasingly in demand as a strength and conditioning trainer for individuals, athletes, and CEO’s, where he enjoyed the challenge of helping each client achieve optimal fitness.
Bally’s selected him to manage the first Bally’s Health Club in Pinellas County, Florida. He planned and directed the complete start up of this facility in Largo, Florida. A year later, as one of the first certified personal trainers in the area, he started his own personal training company Better Bodies, eventually changing the name to Elite Fitness System to better reflect his growing interest and education in the total dynamics of human performance: nutrition, psychology, and exercise physiology.
Guy has worked with numerous high school, college, and professional athletes providing strength and conditioning programs for both coaches and athletes. His personal training programs have given many athletes the extra edge they needed to make the cut with college, and professional teams.
Guy is the epitome of the words “self motivation” and has a gift for sharing his enthusiasm for achieving maximum potential. He has motivated thousands of clients to make a commitment to personal fitness, set goals, and develop the mindset necessary to achieve their goals. Inspired by the proliferation of unsound weight loss programs, he partnered with a software company to develop his own nutrition program. He has appeared on 100’s of radio and TV shows and started Channel 8’s Fitness Friday, a weekly health, nutrition and exercise program.
Guy is currently the owner and operator of Pasco County Boot Camp, LLC in New Port Richey, Florida. He is the creator of the Healthy Lifestyle Fitness Package, a program based on his book, The Human Body Owner’s Manual for Optimal Performance, that combines an exercise DVD, CD’s, a nutritional software program, and a workout journal that enables anyone, anywhere to follow his fitness and nutrition program in their own home or fitness club.
Today Guy teaches his premier all women’s boot camp classes, works with select individuals, and professional athletes helping and motivating them to achieve personal fitness goals and a balanced lifestyle. He lives on the West Coast of Florida with his wife and children, practicing what he preaches by pursuing a healthy active, balanced lifestyle.
